Thank you for choosing to book your holiday with us. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you at Springtail Escapes and we hope you enjoy your stay. By making this booking you are entering an agreement with JM Heywood-Lonsdale. Please read our terms and conditions below.

Booking confirmation

​Springtail Escapes only accepts booking from persons over 18 years of age.
To confirm your booking you must pay a 25% non refundable deposit or, within 14 days the full balance of the booking.  Once the 25% deposit has been paid, the full balance payment will be due 14 days in advance of your check in. A reminder to pay your balance will be sent to you one week prior .
Cancellations and amendments are permitted up to a 14 days in advance (of the check in start time) though guest will forfeit their 25% deposit. Stays amended or cancelled two weeks or less before the arrival date, you will be charged the full amount of the whole stay. Please see our cancellation policy for more information.

Arrival and Departure

Your accommodation will be available to you from 3.00pm on the day of arrival. Check out time is 10.30am on the day of your departure. These timings are so we can air the huts and clean them thoroughly to ensure we are prepared to the highest standards for each guest. On departure your hut and the site are to be left clean and tidy. Keys must be left back in the key safe as found on your arrival. All rubbish/recycling is to be tidied responsibly. Please check you haven’t left anything. Thank you!

Breakages and Damage

A degree of normal wear and tear is to be expected but should any significant damage or breakage happen during your stay you will be held responsible and liable to a charge equal to the lowest current market value. We reserve the right to charge for excessive cleaning where the hut has been left in an unacceptable condition.

Liability

JM Heywood-Lonsdale accepts no responsibility for injury incurred anywhere on the site or in the hut.

Negligence

Guests will be held responsible for any fire, damage or alteration to the huts or other parts of the site caused by negligence. Tea lights and unenclosed candles are strictly forbidden inside or outside the huts, please use glass lanterns provided. Please do not leave anything on or rested against the wood burners.

Stolen Property

You are responsible for your property including your car whilst you are staying at Springtail Escapes and we do not accept any responsibility for your personal effects.

Smoking

Springtail Escapes is subject to a strict no smoking policy inside the huts and pollution or damage from smoking will result in a charge to ensure the hut is returned to a satisfactory standard. Smoking outside the huts is permitted but guests are responsible for the safe and tidy disposal of their cigarette butts, please don’t litter the surrounding area.

Children

Babes in arms can be accommodated however please note space is limited in the huts.

Dogs

We can accommodate one, well behaved and fully house trained dog. We charge £25 per stay for dogs and should be added on as an extra through the booking process. We reserve the right to charge for damage or excessive cleaning caused by dogs whilst staying. Dogs are NOT allowed on the beds.

Code of Conduct

No audio players are permitted outside of the accommodation. Guests agree to not act in any way which would cause disturbance to other guests or nearby residents. In exceptional circumstances we reserve the right to ask a party to leave is there is repeated noise and a request to keep things tranquil is ignored. This would mean the terms of our contract with you has been breech so there will be no refund.

Customer complaints

In the first instance of a complaint please speak to us directly either in person or call us on 07854447432 so we can resolve your problem. If you are unable to do so or wish to do so once you leave please address any correspondence regarding complaints to Johanna Heywood-Lonsdale, Springtail Escapes, The Stables, Shavington, Market Drayton TF9 3TB or email [email protected]. Please note, complaints received after 14 days from the end of your stay cannot be reliably investigated.
